I know, I know, that title was a little over the top. But, admit it. It caught your interest and made you laugh/cringe a little. And that is why we are all here today.
Yes, I will be blogging this season! I have never really done a blog. Actually, I did one once for the (insert name drop here) New York Times, but that doesn’t really count. It was only for a few weeks during the (insert second name drop here) Olympics.
So I am knocking the old cobwebs off of the keyboard, and will be blogging from London during the season with Arsenal.
I think it is really important to share our experiences, and I am really dedicated to growing the game, especially at this point in my career where I have seen a lot in the last 15 years of playing at the elite level, yet am still very eager to learn and grow.
So alas, I will be writing a column for Women’s Soccer Zone. I will be working on it with Kieran. There are lots of fantastic media folk out there, but Kieran caught my eye last year as being extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the women’s game and I respect that. He will be my editor.
So if anything is spelled wrong, or “their” is misused as “there”, or if something was laced with a joke but it’s actually just not funny at all, it’s probably all his fault.
This blog will be about my time frolicking around London, the differences here in both life and football, and general football chat. Don’t worry, they will be short and sweet, and I will attempt to be both entertaining and informative. So be on the lookout!
PS- We are taking content suggestions. One suggestion is a life advice column. Please send these to my editor
